CURRENTLY IN TRANSITION...
As part of our efforts to prepare our children and teachers for the mixed-age groupings when we transform into a Christian Montessori school by the 2025-26 school year, we have moved our learning space to the Social Hall in the educational building. While the children are still separated into two classes led by two lead teachers and two assistant teachers, they will experience being in the same space with each other and having circle time together.
We strongly encourage and greatly appreciate it when families support their children’s self-sufficiency at home. In school, the children will learn to unpack their belongings independently, put on and take off their socks and shoes, dress and undress for toileting, set up and clean up their lunches and snacks, including opening and closing containers, and dress their cots for rest time. Encouraging children to continue these and other skills at home will support their learning experiences in school. We thank you very much for your support!
“The essence of independence is to be able to do something for
one’s self. Adults work to finish a task, but the child works in
order to grow, and is working to create the adult, the person that
is to be. Such experience is not just play... it is work he must do in
order to grow up.”
