vision: to share god's aloha to da max!

To amaze the world with the message and demonstration of God’s Aloha (love), so that everyone has the opportunity to come into God’s Ohana and exclaim, “Wow, God!”

In short, we exist to:

SHARE GOD'S ALOHA TO DA MAX!

But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. And the son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son." but the father said to his servants, "Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found." And they began to celebrate.  Luke 15:20-24

1. God's aloha fills worship and prayer with passion.

Worship is where we are the performers, and God is the audience. It is not a concert before men, but it is where young and old, rich and poor, rock-listeners and classical-listeners come together as a family to meet with God. We therefore will use a blend of culturally relevant musical styles through which the variety of God’s people could pour out their amazement and gratitude to Jesus for the salvation they have received from Him.

2. Our message of God’s Aloha is based on SCRIPTURE alone, and centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our sole and absolute authority for faith and life is Scripture. Without Scripture, one cannot clearly know God, the gospel, and story of God’s redeeming love. This is the reason why we preach, teach, and study the Scriptures, as best summarized by the tenets of the historic Christian faith.

3. MISSIONS & OUTREACH: The story of God’s Aloha was meant to be viral.

The story of God’s grace and love is so transforming that, with the power of the Holy Spirit, it spreads like wildfire. Therefore, Christ gives believers the blessing and responsibility to share the gospel and demonstrate God’s love to their neighbors and people around the world.

4. FELLOWSHIP: The deepest Aloha happens in GROUPS.

We were not designed to grow alone, but in a family of love, sacrifice, mutual building up of one another, and trust, as God’s Ohana. People best exercise care for one another in small groups

5. TEACHING & DISCIPLESHIP: Disciples are made, not born.

It is not our goal to simply call for decisions, but to make disciples, that is, followers of Jesus Christ. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, and the encouragement of others, believers grow to know God clearly and intimately, to put on a new and holy life, and to powerfully testify of Christ’s redeeming love to the world.
