Kumi Macdonald - Director of Small Group Ministry
Kumi Macdonald, born in Japan
in 1968, was raised in California and Hawaii. She is the daughter of Reverend &
Mrs. Yuichiro Nakano, and grew up as the rebellious, middle daughter. After struggling with her
faith for many years, she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ at the age of 21,
one year after marrying her husband, John. God has transformed her life,
in which HCC and small groups have played a vital role. Kumi, a self proclaimed
“recovering control freak” is now learning to practice self control through the
power of the Holy Spirit. Kumi and John have been
blessed with three wonderful children, and enjoy going out on dates, and having
dinner with family and friends. Kumi also enjoys reading and talking walks.
Her life passion is to seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, so she can
bless her family, and help others find healing in Jesus, through small groups.
